About Us
In 2013, Marie and Richard acquired Green Gables. The initial year was dedicated to rehabilitating the vineyard, involving the replacement of numerous vines and the introduction of various new vine varieties. Through continuous maintenance and enhancements, the vineyard has been restored to its present condition. Substantial improvements have also been implemented in the winery’s structures, equipment, and processes, aimed at boosting yields and enhancing the quality of grapes and wines produced on the premises.
Numerous volunteers from the surrounding area played a crucial role in contributing a substantial amount of labor for the transformation of Green Gables. We express our sincere gratitude to them for their valuable contributions.
Marie Chinnatamby
Marie leverages her MBA expertise to oversee various customer-facing aspects of the business at Green Gables. Taking charge of activities such as wine tasting, sales, food services, and events, she plays a central role in enhancing the overall customer experience.
Richard Deslandes
Richard, with a background in computer engineering and roots in farming, assumes the roles of vineyard manager and winemaker. His passion lies in experimentation, constantly exploring and developing new wine varieties to offer our visitors unique and engaging tasting experiences.
