About Green Gables Vines
A small, family-run vineyard and winery in Oxford Station, Ontario.
Our Story
Green Gables Vines was founded in 2013, when our family took over the original Oxford Station vineyard with a simple goal: to grow good cold-hardy grapes and make honest wine that reflects the place it comes from. The first seasons were spent rehabilitating the land — pruning, replanting, and learning what each row of vines wanted to be.
Today the vineyard runs on a small team and a lot of help from friends. We farm organically, harvest by hand, and bottle small batches of white, red, rosé, and fruit-infused wines made from our own grapes. The winery is open on weekends through the warmer months — pull up the driveway, sit on the porch, and try what we’ve been working on.

Marie Chinnatamby
Hospitality & Operations
Marie leverages her MBA expertise to oversee various customer-facing aspects of the business at Green Gables. Taking charge of activities such as wine tasting, sales, food services, and events, she plays a central role in enhancing the overall customer experience.

Richard Deslandes
Vineyard Manager & Winemaker
Richard, with a background in computer engineering and roots in farming, assumes the roles of vineyard manager and winemaker. His passion lies in experimentation, constantly exploring and developing new wine varieties to offer our visitors unique and engaging tasting experiences.

Dave Goddard
Jack of All Trades
Dave has chosen to make Green Gables his retirement pursuit, actively engaging in the smooth operation of the business. You can often find him taking care of the small yet essential tasks that contribute to the overall efficiency of our operations. His dedication is a valuable asset to our endeavors.
And All the Volunteers
A small winery doesn’t run without help. Every year, friends, family, and neighbours show up at the vineyard to prune, pick, and pour — sometimes for an afternoon, sometimes for a whole season. We couldn’t do this without you. Thank you.
